James Joyce was one of Dublin(Ireland)'s most influencial and famous local
writers. For the majority of his life he worked doing clerical work, travelling around Europe with his wife and children while
writing novels and poetry. His work became difficult in his later years as he became blind and had to rely on the
help of others to continue writing. Joyce wrote novels such as "Dubliners" and "A Portrait of the Artist as a Young
Man". He also wrote many famous poems including "Flood" and "I Hear an Army".
